![]() The only successful multi thread simulation as far as I know of is the multi thread fork of the Spring RTS engine (which is btw *seriously* fast), however that's also closed source which is why it was removed from the core engine and know one besides the author knows how it works. TA, SupCom, FA, SupCom2 all ran on single thread simulation engines as far as I'm aware. ![]() PA / Titans isn't going to get that as a multi thread simulation represents a serious undertaking on the core engine side and would cost a lot to do. Doing that would shift the bottleneck back to the render engine, at which point then maybe there are some gains to be made on a newer render API but doing that first is kinda pointless as is. PA really could use a multi threaded simulation for units and projectiles to really make it fly, as that is currently the biggest bottleneck. It needs a faster simulation to cope with more units (also with respect to planets, it memory that limits planet size rather than rendering in my experience). The point though is as said, PA doesn't need faster rendering speed. Click to expand. There are a number of new api's beyond DX12 (Vulkan is the one that succeeds Open GL and is cross platform).

And in true Ramona style, guests can ride in on horseback. They don’t serve food with their wines, but guests are welcome to bring their own food. The Boneys manage Rancho San Martin Winery themselves, with some help during the picking season from residents of the Restoration Ranch addiction treatment center in Ramona. And when their wineglass shipments from Germany stalled that year, they decided it made sense to order less expensive glasses from Home Depot and postpone the opening of the winery until spring 2021.Īfter letting their creations age in oak barrels for two-and-a-half years, the Boneys introduced their 2017 Sangiovese and Tempranillo wines, and more recently their 2018 Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and two blends. But their plans were put on hold in part because of COVID. The Boneys received tips from the RVVA and the San Diego County Vintners Association about managing a vineyard and winery and considered opening their winery in early 2020. His wife still works as a director of client services in health care. “We’ve been doing fairly well with the winery. “If all we did was sell grapes we’d make enough money to go on a nice vacation every year,” said Gary Boney, a retired aerospace engineer. They round out their menu with Grenache, a Cabernet Sauvignon, Rose and blends. Their vines include a standard Sangiovese and Brunello clone of Sangiovese, Tempranillo and Syrah. They liked the idea of working outdoors and weren’t keen on having horses like some of their neighbors, so in 20 the couple planted a good portion of their grapes on one of their acres. But after getting acquainted with other winery owners and winemakers involved in the RVVA, they warmed to the idea of at least planting grapes. When the Boneys bought their 4-acre property nearly 16 years ago they had no intention of opening a winery. There’s some wineries that are venues but we’re a boutique winery and our focus is on making good wines.” “We want to make really good quality wines. “We’ve gotten some good reviews,” Ginny Boney said. Customers can call the Boneys’ phone number, listed at the gate, to call for the entry passcode. Of course, they invite guests to their secluded winery off Highland Valley Road in the gated community of Rancho San Martin. This month, the couple will be serving wines during the Holiday Wine Trail, another RVVA-sponsored event that has wine-lovers stopping at 20 participating wineries during the weekends from Dec. On July 29, the Boneys offered their wines at the Cheers to the Valley Wine Festival at the Ramona Outdoor Community Center. In June, they participated in the Ramona Valley Vineyard Association’s (RVVA) Summer of Wine Trail. ![]() Ginny and Gary Boney are gradually getting the word out about Rancho San Martin Winery, the home-based winery they opened in Ramona last April. So I'm inclined to want to get this thing remedied once and for all, but if it means major cash, I might just have to trade it in. Otherwise, I love the truck, have sunk in a thousand dollars recently into it, between brakes and tires. It's never been great, and I've had it serviced once with little or no long lasting benefit. I should say also that I virtually have no AC in the truck. Talk about stressful?ĭuring these episodes, or prior, I may or may not get engine warning light: "service engine soon." But oil pressure and temperature read normal. I then get it going, hear the engine race again, and hold clutch at half way, with gas pedal down, and I get out of there. I know from experience what to do: quickly as I can switch off the ignition, and re-start, fiddling with the key (and my steering column often locks). People honk at me, and I create a hazard. Not a stall, but nothing when I put my feet on the gas pedal. ![]() I've seen some very similar issues posted, but just not quite my truck's problem, nor have a seen a definitive answer posted.īut anyway, I dread it that in hot weather (never a problem in other seasons), I will be at a stop sign or light I may often hear the engine racing, so to speak - then when I attempt to pull away, I have a complete loss of power. |
